Vibrant Market, Beautiful Buildings & Chateau Gringan

Late Afternoon Guided Tour

sunny 23 °C

After completing our Lavender Fields tour we boarded our coach for the short drive to Gringan. Unsure of what to expect we were pleasantly surprised with our guided tour. A short walk through the town brought us to the Friday Market, although around 4pm the market was still active and caught the interest of the ladies. I enjoyed the walk through the narrow streets, admired the old character buildings, the bars and shops.

Whilst the ladies were occupied in the market I took the opportunity to walk the steep hill up to Chateau De Grignan. An impressive building , high on the hill with a good defensive wall. I most likely walked around the Chateau grounds for 15 minutes using the opportunity to take as many photos as possible. I think I was possibly the only one of our group to walk the grounds and obtain some landscape photos.

Our Guide (In The Pink) Walks Our Group to the Friday street market. I am always at the rear of any group - naturally taking photos.
We were issued with earpieces so we could listen to our guide, ideal for me as I am usually 50 to 100 metres behind.
